An Illiterate Much

So a week or two ago I talk about how most of Robin's gang probably couldn't read or write. Then that got me thinking: Much was a servant, he would, above all, wouldn't know how to read. This brings me to my point: In one episode in Season Two, (the one were the Sheriff has a big pit of boiling tar for Robin and Allen to fight on), Robin, being dramatic as always, writes this good-bye note to Marian. And the gang ends up reading it. At first, Much has the note, he looks at it and gives it to Djaq to read. I always thought that was because it was too emotional for him, but maybe not?
