Whenever you hear "little," you think small, that is, unless you hear the word "John" after it. Everybody knows Little John, he's Robin Hood's-*traditional*-sidekick. The giant with an ironic name. And the characters in BBC's version seem to know this too. And whenever they see Little John, they're...unimpressed.

They know that Little John is supposed to be this huge, tall guy, and Gordan Kennedy is only 6'2", not to say that's small, it just isn't how tall you'd expect him to be ("I'm tall." "Yeah, but not as big as I expect."-Child Hood, S2). It's a comical approach, a bit different, but that's how BBC's Robin Hood rolls.
