How Marian Was Secretly The Smart One

Throughout the show, there would be times when the Sheriff would say to Marian "Robin Hood is dead!" Or somewhere on those lines, and each time she would believe him e v e y time. Then it got me thinking, Robin basically almost died in e v e r y episode. And while we knew this is fictional and that the main character can't die (until the *spoiler* last episode), Marian doesn't. Because to her, it's all real. And in her 'real' world, if the Sheriff said and assumed that Robin was dead, the chances were he was. This realistic approach startled me and I found myself loving it.

In the first season, I wouldn't consider myself a Marian fan, but many bits and bobs about her-including her realistic ideals of life and death (for Robin, at least)-certainly made her grow on me, especially in the second season, and ironically, the third.
