*WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILERS*

One can debate if they want or don't want a fourth season of BBC's Robin Hood, but today I bring the newest developments and rumors of a fourth season. (spoiler: there are far and few over the years).

-Even before the release of the third season, there was talk of a fourth season. However, Jonas Armstrong (Robin Hood) was not completely on board with this idea. He and his agent were talking about it and given that Lucy Griffiths (Marian), Harry Lloyd (Will Scarlett), and Anjali Jay (Djaq) had all left the show, and Richard Armitage (Guy of Gisborne), Keith Allen (Sheriff), and Joe Armstrong (Allan-a-Dale) were all planning to leave the show, Armstrong decided he would also leave to pursue other opportunities.https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/robin-hood-cast-interview-rt-rewind/

-After the release of the third season, BBC consider making a fourth season, with Archer as the main character. There was even allegedly a summary of the fourth season made, and can be found on the internet. However, this has never been confirmed. The fourth season was debated, and ultimately, given Robin Hood's low ratings at that point, never was made. https://www.bbc.co.uk/nottingham/content/articles/2009/06/10/clive_standen_robin_hood_feature.shtml

-In 2020, there was rumors that Netflix had brought Robin Hood and was planning to revive it. Netflix never confirmed this, and it was found out that it was for a completely new Robin Hood show that was the rumor had started for. https://filmne.com/robin-hood-tv-series-is-coming-again/
