Robin Hood was Once Robbed

In 2006, when the first season of Robin Hood was being produced, four tapes were stolen of footage were stolen from Budapest (the series was shoot there-not in Sherwood-to burst anyone's bubbles). Some articles will say that the tapes were stolen right from the office. The tapes were being held ransom for 1 million pounds (the show had a budget of 8 million). This was never really confirmed, or if the tapes were the sole copies.

Many people were skeptical about whether the show would be delayed or even canceled because of this, but then the tapes were found. During this time (August to September), there was even some re-shooting being done. I could not, however, find out who was the thief or thieves.
