You'll Never Look At This Scene The Same Again

In Sister Hood, when Allan gets captured, he tells Gisborne his name his Tom, trying to get out of jail. In the past, I took very little notice of this scene. Or rather the name he tells Guy. Until my sister mentioned that Tom is-or was- Allan's brother.
Maybe he used it because they would look alike. Maybe it was the first thing that came to his mind. No matter why Allan would say that, I'm pretty sure there's more to it.
In Ducking and Diving, Djaq and Allan's brilliant scene, Djaq mentioned his brother. How his brother was stuck and he refused to change. Not that you need to be told, but his brother was Tom. Allan says how maybe the traitor is stuck. (then Djaq mentions his brother, we're doing everything backward here)
I feel like this is a reference to that further episode, or maybe his betrayal (as Tom also betrayed them) but either way, that scene will always haunt me now.
